Are you a warm, highly motivated individual with personcentred values who can empower and support people with a learning disability? Are you reliable, responsive and able to accept responsibility?We are recruiting waking night staff to support tenants with learning disabilities or autism to enjoy an excellent quality of life in a newbuild development of 9 selfcontained flats, purpose designed to maximise independence and community connections.
The accommodation is located in a pleasant residential location next to Wandsworth Common, close to bus routes and local amenities.
This rewarding role will require flexibility across the week and your schedule will include working night shifts of 9 or 10 hours duration.
We can offer you 2 or 3 nights per week on a rota basis.
A high level of motivation and personal commitment is required along with demonstrable skills in engaging service users in planning their support.
You will also be expected to work professionally alongside Care Managers and health professionals as well communicating positively with families, support workers and friends.
You will need to be punctual and reliable and able to work in an effective and accountable manner without direct supervision.
We value relevant experience of supporting people with a learning disability or autism as well as a ‘cando approach’, personcentred values, energy and commitment.
You will need good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop good quality support plans.
You will have a strong work ethic and duty of care and be able to contribute to a positive, team approach.
You can chose to be paid on a weekly or monthly basisIf you do not already have a relevant vocational qualification in health or social care we will support you to complete the Care Certificate and an accredited Health & Social Care Diploma after a probationary period of 4 months.
