Overview

Job Introduction

Last year, thousands of people stepped forward to offer their time and skills to support NHS England’s Covid-19 vaccination campaign. Because of them we were able to roll out primary vaccinations to millions of people quickly, saving thousands of lives.

Now, with the emergence of the Omicron variant, the vaccination programme is being ramped up further. And we are once again recruiting thousands of paid roles to help us deliver booster vaccinations across England.

The role

Thousands of people are expected to get their booster jabs over the next couple of months. So, it means busy times are ahead. You’ll help ensure the smooth running of your vaccination centre by providing administrative support across the site.

Your specific and important responsibilities will include accessing and maintaining accurate patient records, always following the site’s confidentiality policy. You’ll also support vaccinators with the delivery of vaccines through updating of vaccination records, recording that consent has been given and the vaccination completed. We’ll also be looking to you to ensure the highest standards of infection control and waste management are maintained at the vaccination station.

Who we are looking for

To succeed in this important role, you’ll also be educated to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) with great teamworking skills, the ability to communicate well with members of the public and the ability to maintain accurate documentation. First Aid training is desirable.

Where you’ll be working

We are looking for individuals to provide Administrative Support across all regions in England. If your application is successful, you will be given the opportunity to work at one or several of the vaccination centres in your region.
