Overview

User Research is such a dynamic field right now.  Increasingly, companies are realising the value in having a more dedicated approach to understanding their customers, prospects and the markets in which they operate.

However, let’s be honest, some user research roles can be limiting, with a narrowly defined remit and room to really show your full range of research and analytical skills limited by the structure or team you might work in.

Well, if you love what you do and also love the idea of being the first dedicated User Researcher within a ridiculously cool Psychology-tech SaaS business then you really need to read on!

You’ll be working directly with the CPO as they look to grow the company’s first dedicated Product team, likely to consist of 5 Product Managers within a few short months.

You’ll understand different user personas by formulating relationships with industry experts; HR professionals, Recruiters, Occupational Psychologists, (to name a few!) understanding their goals, pain points, and discovering unmet needs. Using this information to relay to the Product team, you’ll be an advocate of their technology, championing user research across the business to ensure the constant development of an awesome product.

As the business moves from a sales led to a more product led approach, you’ll be strategic in your research, carrying out interviews, surveys, field studies and gather the qualitative and quantitative data that will help shape what they do.

You’ll need to be proactive and forward-thinking – you won’t have your hand held in this role, in fact, you’ll be the first ever User Researcher in the team, so you’ll have the freedom to shape the soon-to-be growing department and leave your stamp all over it.

So, who are they?
