The Education Network is working in partnership with pair of Ofsted “Good” and “Outstanding” SEMH Schools (social emotional and mental health) to find an engaging Teaching Assistant with a smile for every child, to work with Key Stage 3 &4 students. You will be joining a team that are dedicated to inspiring every child and providing them with an elevated standard of tailored support. Walking into this school you will be welcomed by a bright, warm environment and friendly staff and excellent facilities. There is an emphasis on team work and support for both Teaching Assistants and Teachers, which is provided by a committed leadership team who always put the children first.

 Additionally this school prides itself on the extra activities it provides for its students, including trips, competitions and charity events. Easily accessible from Birmingham, Oldbury, Smethwick, West Bromwich, Dudley and Walsall by public transport.

Ideally you will be:

  • A SEMH TA or Learning Mentor used to working with children with barriers to learning
  • A confident classroom practitioner able to support lessons in a creative and inspiring manner
  • Used to finding creative and interactive solutions
  • Encouraging participation in lessons
  • Happy to work on a 1-2-1 or small group basis
  • Able to provide support to teaching staff
  • A friendly, professional  and dedicated Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor
  • Able to provide recent, relevant education references
