We have an opportunity for a Service Delivery Supervisor to join our team in London. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 – £45,000 per annum excellent benefits (travel allowance, on-call allowance, bonus scheme, pension, health insurance).

In the UK our Docklands data centre campus facilitates the majority of the London Internet Exchange’s (LINX) capacity, meaning that we support a huge proportion of all UK internet traffic, making our Docklands campus a globally important internet hub.

As our Service Delivery Supervisor, you will be responsible for the supervision and overseeing of all customer installations and maintenance of all cabling and cabling routes in Telehouse London sites. The Customer Installation Supervisor is accountable for stock control, efficient material usage/management and recording.

The role is to support the Customer Order installations Manager in managing the Cabling team, work allocation and day to day team supervision.

Key tasks of our Service Delivery Supervisor:

  • Supporting the Customer Order Installation Manager in delivering all Work Orders and Faults that come into the team.
  • Managing the Cabling Team Senior Engineers, organising work, providing support, identifying learning needs and motivating.
  • Coordinating customer installations, planning and allocation of work orders, efficient work distribution and timely completion.
  • Liaising with customers, internal departments, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of works.
  • Responsible for overall material usage, tracking, stock control and planning. Monitoring stock levels, carrying out stock checks on 6 monthly basis, responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date stock database.
  • Cooperating with Post Installation Supervisor to survey and evaluate route conditions, plan the most efficient routes, and make recommendations for long-term solutions.
  • Documenting and recording cabling management resources.
  • Maintaining and updating the HUB room port allocation database.
  • Facilitating and supporting internal training provided to the new joiners and existing staff members.
  • Providing flexible induction to new joiners depending on their role.
  • Maintaining relevant manuals, policies, and procedures. Continually review and strive to improve departmental processes and ways of working, recommend new solutions, ideas and innovations.
  • Ensuring cabling installation team applies correct Health and Safety standards: PPE spot checks, maintain database tracking of the PPE, inform Customer Order Installation Manager of any purchase needs.
  • Overviewing, monitoring and evaluating customer handover, ensure that installations meet the highest industry standards as well as customer requirements.
  • Generating relevant documentation and providing excellent customer service to customers at all times.
  • Undertaking any other duties that may reasonably be assigned from time to time.

Essential requirements needed to become our Service Delivery Supervisor:

  • Educated to GCSE level, including English and Mathematics minimum
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in the Telecoms industry
  • Detailed knowledge of a wide range of networking infrastructure
  • Previous supervisor/management experience
  • CCNI accreditation
  • Intermediate level of Excel
