Overview

Your mission is to manage, lead and grow two critical engineering teams within our Customer and Partner Success division.
You will be responsible for 2 direct reports engineering managers scaling this to 4 by 2022,Team 1
Applied Science
The Applied Science team aims to incorporate and couple existing models, or prototype new models
with the goal of satisfying the use cases of our customers.
Whether this is for situational awareness, planning, training, static or simulation models, the Applied Science team populates the virtual world with useful content.
The types of models built within the team include mathematical, statistical, simulation, machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Model Engineering Team
The model engineering team is focussed on creating & delivering robust, performant, scalable scientific models into production that run in simulation and sit at the heart of customer solution offering.
Model Engineers work closely with the Applied Science team to create these models and the tooling to support them.

You collaborate with EMs and Senior SWEs/Principals to determine the longterm viability of your software architecture, both from a business and technology standpointWe’d like to hear from you if you identify with the following
You an experienced senior engineering manager with a clear focus on managing the development and growth of engineering managers and software engineers.
You ascribe to the idea of servantleadership and are motivated by the success of your teams.
You have led highperforming, happy teams building complex modern software with particular influence over product strategy and delivery.
You have an excellent track record of delivering robust, performant, scalable scientific models into production that run in simulationYou consistently bring strong, datadriven business and technical judgment to decisions and clearly communicate trade offs and decisions to your team.
You are an empathetic communicator who can navigate tricky situations, having tough conversations where necessary, and being objective and structured in your approach to all personnel matters.
You have gained significant experience in a similar role within the defence sector ideally delivering simulation, synthetics or decision support tooling to government or military  You come from a strong academic background, ideally within research or holding a doctorate or equivalent Nb
