Our History

We began our journey as an ambitious, independent gas supplier in the North West of England, Pennine Natural Gas. Since joining the Gazprom Group in 2006 and beginning our transformation as Gazprom Energy we have gone from strength to strength, always reaching for better, to become one of the leading B2B gas suppliers in the UK and expanding into France and Netherlands. We now supply gas, power and environmental products to thousands of business customers across Europe.

Manchester is home to our European headquarters and our locations are united by our ethos: making customers happy, doing the basics brilliantly and finding new ways to go above and beyond their expectations.

ROLE OBJECTIVES

This position is responsible for supporting the operations and development of Credit Risk management activities at Gazprom Energy.

The main roles are:

  • The preparation and presentation of credit risk analysis. Including production of counterparty Credit Application Requests and Portfolio analysis.
  • Challenge the existing credit risk processes, solve complex problems, and drive the business to adapt agilely with emerging credit risk management trends

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production of detailed counterparty Credit Application Requests, incorporating a detailed financial analysis and a full appraisal of all credit risk factors.
  • To ensure all credit applications processed and the associated reporting is conducted with full compliance to both Group and Gazprom Energy and credit policies and procedures.
  • To constantly monitor the credit risk environment and macro-economic trends.
  • Constantly review credit process, systems and data. In particular Credit / Commercial interfaces, ensuring optimal processes are in place.
  • Managing complex projects related to credit risk and requiring coordination with external suppliers and internal departments. Requirement to be able to autonomously drive projects and present workable results within deadlines.
  • Regular review of Gazprom Energy Credit policy – proactively identifying opportunities for mitigating credit risk (e.g. credit insurance, security) whilst allowing for managed growth.
  • Participate in meetings with Commercial teams and the customers directly, in order to resolve issues and identify solutions that enable credit facilities to be approved.
  • Analysis of portfolio credit reporting including potential future exposure, expected loss and Mark to Market metrics to ensure key risks and opportunities are identified.
  • To be aware of and comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Gazprom Energy Data Protection policy, Equal Opportunities policy, and the Email and Internet Acceptable Usage Policy, in addition to Fire and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • The role holder may also be required to carry out any other duties within the scope and purpose of this role as requested by their line manager and in line with business needs.
  • To be aware of and comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Gazprom Energy Data Protection policy, Equal Opportunities policy, and the Email and Internet Acceptable Usage Policy, in addition to Fire and Health and Safety Regulations.

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong understanding of credit risk management practices and framework
  • Data analytics / reporting experience advantageous

EDUCATION

  • Educated to degree level in a numerical or comparable subject is preferable.
