£45K Up to £60KThere’s a lot of mobile dev roles out there as the world is becoming evermore digital.
But how many of those will be positively impacting the quality of life for their users? If you love native Android development, Java & Kotlin, but are a bit bored of doing smaller scale or seemingly useless apps at the whim of a client, then read on I think you’re going to like this one!If you want to build enterprisescale apps that are used by millions of people all over the world, and help people in their daily lives, then this is the role for you.
Just read that sentence again.
Enterprisescale apps that help millions of people – casual users as much as those nudged to the app by healthcare professionals to help overcome physical traumas or support and build resilience through recovery from PTSD and other challenging mental health scenarios.
You’ll also get to work with a bunch of folks who are as keen and passionate about improving people’s lives as hopefully you are.
They are genuinely lovely people yay! But what about career progression? Well… the app you’ll be working on is owned by a global company who can facilitate relocation with documentation! to some of their other offices – so if you like the idea of living abroad for a couple years, or even emigrating, this is worth exploring.
That also means they can enable moves into different teams and provide great opportunities for upskilling and transitioning into new disciplines.
They aren’t n00bs and will treat your goals with the respect they deserve.
There are different paths you could go down depending on the type of superstar dev you are
want to go into architecture, ace – do it.
Managerial – Brilliant.
You want to move sideways? Go for it.
I’m not going to promise you the world, but I will say you’ll be working alongside renowned neuroscientists to develop an app that’s heralded by doctors, surgeons, psychiatrists and the users themselves.
So, what’s the deal? The leadership team hate micromanaging, so won’t be peering over your shoulder or pestering you on Zoom for updates, you’ll be given the freedom to work how you work best.
Initially the work will involve improvements and refactoring.
But come the summer you’ll be building new features and functionality.
By next year you’ll be looking to kick off the building of totally new applications and products to further help people live longer and more fulfilled lives.
Bullet points are lame but a couple for simplicity
Need experience working on mobile apps.
Experience with Java and KotlinTesting experience, Espresso or other mobile testing tools.
CICD experience.
libGDX is a big “nice to have”.
Yup, that’s pretty much it, in terms of tech.
The rest is attitude and enthusiasm.
In return you’ll be empowered to share ideas and influence the future of their techstack.
You’ll have the freedom to work when and how you want and they won’t force you to sit at a desk through the day if that’s not convenient for you.
Oh, and you can be based anywhere in the EU or UK.
If any of that sounds good, please send over your CV or get in touch
