As a Employment Advisor you will be responsible for helping people who have been out of work for at least 12 months find sustainable employment. You will manage a caseload of participants and will understand each participant’s individuals needs to help plan the support they require to get back to work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building effective and positive relationships daily.
  • Challenging your Participants to identify and overcome any potential barriers and help put realistic targets in place for them to meet to ensure you get a sustainable outcome.
  • Ensuring participants have an up to date and professional CV, supporting statement and covering letter, tailored appropriately for each application.
  • Provide job search support, guiding participants to register on appropriate jobs boards and ensuring their digital profiles are up to date and visible to employers.
  • Support participants in preparing for job interviews, conducting mock interviews and assessment activity.
  • Meet all monthly performance targets and key performance indicators.

Please note full training will be given if you are successful.

Experience Required:

  • Working in a fast paced, evolving environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Working in a performance target driven environment, with KPIs
  • You can communicate, persuade, influence, and listen to others.
  • You must be computer literate and be able to input data accurately
  • You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft tools e.g., Word and Excel.
