Overview
Central is currently recruiting for a Resettlement Worker, to work in the Finchley area. In this role, you will be based in a rough sleepers hub, which will provide support to EEA nationals who are homeless/rough sleeping. The aim of the service is to link clients in with appropriate services to address support needs and to identify move on options.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday – Friday, 9AM – 5PM. Please note, the successful candidate will need to be flexible dependent on needs of service. The service will be open until the end of March 2022, so candidates should ideally be available for the full duration. The pay rate for this role is £13.25 per hour with £1.60 holiday pay totalling £14.85 inclusive of holiday pay.
In this position, you will be required to:
- Hold a caseload of key clients and conduct regular key working sessions to stabilize service users support needs resulting in agreed Support Plans
- Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments
- Provide support and assistance around housing, identifying suitable longer term accommodation
- Ensure that onward referrals are made to all appropriate support services
- Support clients to maximise their incomes – benefits, employment etc.
- Support clients to access primary & secondary healthcare services
- Devise move on plans and support clients to access appropriate move on accommodation (Hostels, PRS etc.)
- Establish positive relationships with landlords, local supported housing provisions including those within the private rented sector
- Work with immigration specialist services to address status
To apply for this role, you must have experience of working with rough sleepers and have previously held a caseload of clients with complex needs. The successful candidate should be self motivating, work well under pressure and manage time effectively, prioritising different areas of work according to need.

In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Current valid right to work in the UK
- Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
- A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £44)
- Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
