Part Qualified Accountant Amplifi Talent Ltd

Amplifi Talent are partnering with a forward-thinking and well-established client based in Edinburgh City Centre to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant on a permanent basis. This role is something very different to others on the market right now; working within the company’s rapidly growing blockchain and crypto asset division (this will make up for around 20% of the overall role).

A real interest to learn and develop in financial technology is a must (particularly apps, blockchain and crypto). This is a fantastic area to gain expertise in, as these skills are relatively rare to come by and becoming an expert in this area will greatly diversify your client portfolio and career potential. 

Main responsibilities include; supporting a broad range of SME clients with their bookkeeping using cloud software. In addition to this you will be involved in accounts preparation, tax, and general advisory. 

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, explaining complex matters and providing advice. They will have a high level of attention to detail, working with speed and accuracy, be a team player and show willingness to get involved in various aspects of the company’s operations.

Required expertise  

• Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ICAS) or Qualified Accounting Technician 
• Holds experience within a busy practice environment  
• Experience and ability to complete accounts up to trial balance stage through to final accounts, corporation tax and personal tax computations  
• Ability to analyse and interrogate data 
• Competent with cloud software such as Xero, FreeAgent, Quickbooks and Sage 
• Ability to assist clients with business planning and cash flow management
