Operations Manager – Contract Catering – Education

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: up to £55,000

My client is looking to bring an Operations Manager in to join this growing education Contract Caterer to take overall responsibility for the catering services of the contracts within the patch. This role requires strong leadership, experience in managing change and building new teams plus new openings/contract mobilisation. It is essential you have area management experience and education experience is a must.

We are looking for an ambitious individual, who is a real foodie operator to join this fantastic contractor. This role is NOT for a first time Operator, we are looking for someone who has a has strong commercial acumen.

It requires someone with a niche skill set and a real understanding of excellence to meet the client’s needs. You will be well presented with an impeccable eye for detail, patient and observant. Excellent financials are a must with a firm grasp on what excellence both tastes and looks like.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Experience in a similar role for a high-end Contract Caterer is a must
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong client relationships
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine love for catering
  • Your passion will be service and standards
  • Financially astute
  • You will strive to drive the business forward and be able to demonstrate this in an interview
  • IT literate
  • You will be an outstanding leader, motivator and have a degree of gravitas
  • A deep understanding of delivering for demanding clients
