About the role
Working within our dedicated Mergers & Acquisitions team, you’ll have involvement in the entire M&A remit. The team is small but is a tight knit team of professionals and as an Analyst you’ll be given a lot of responsibility to support the team’s objectives and the delivery of our business strategy.
In this high profile role you’ll have a lot of access to the executive committee and senior stakeholders, helping guide and advise them in their decision making. As a FTSE 250 company we also have the commercial strength to ensure that you will be constantly challenged on a range of acquisitions and deals. The team have executed over £1bn worth of deals in the last two years.
The work you do will be varied and includes; supporting and analysing key strategic investment opportunities and decisions, building business cases, carrying out competitor analysis, undertaking advanced financial and economic modelling and running financial and commercial due diligence. As well as this, you will be assisting with the investment approval process, producing proposal papers with a full business case and recommendations, assisting with commercial negotiations and reviewing legal and commercial documents.
In summary, you will be an integral part of all stages of a deal, from identifying to negotiation to completion.
About you
You’ll have past work experience in executing deals, being client facing during the process. You’ll need to have an academic grounding in business, engineering, economics or another highly numerate and analytical discipline.
As an ambitious professional, you’ll be looking to utilise your existing Analyst skillset to drive projects forwards. You will employ a range of modelling, valuation, analytical and communication skills each day. You’ll need to have solid previous work experience working directly with M&A activity in investment banking, corporate finance, accountancy practice or private equity.
