We could easily tell you more about what a fantastic opportunity this is, but here is what Tom Crossland, one of our current students, had to say.

“The placement has given me first-hand experience of working for a big name in the energy sector; understanding the unique challenges of a biomass-fired power station while developing universal key skills for a future career in engineering, such as communication, timekeeping, and stakeholder management. The placement gives you exposure to a range of live projects, gaining experience and an understanding of the processes involved from inception to plant hand-over. Drax is extremely supportive of learning, offering a variety of useful training courses from internal and external providers.”
