Overview
Our Client, a fast-growing freight forwarding company are looking for a Mandarin speaking Customer Service Operator to oversee smooth execution of the whole shipment lifecycle. Working with a small and friendly, but busy team based in Chelmsford, you’ll be the primary point of contact for the company’s Chinese customers. Day-to-day you’ll be working closely with shipping companies and hauliers on behalf of these key accounts. It goes without saying that first class customer service skills are a must for a Customer Service Operator, but Mandarin speaking is key for this particular position.

Successful Customer Service Operators are organised by nature and computer literate, with excellent attention to detail skills. You’ll be a confident communicator as well as good with numbers.
Customer Service Operator duties include:
Managing Key Accounts from start to finishCommunicating in Mandarin and EnglishQuotationsTaking bookingsArranging collections with transport department / hauliersCreating files both manually and on the computer systemNegotiating rates with shipping companiesPreparing documentation, i.e. Bills of LadingLetter of Credit requirementsCharging files
