A leader in electrified HGV technology is currently seeking a Lead Engineer – Embedded Software to lead a team of embedded software engineers, who are responsible for designing and implementing stateoftheart, safety critical software from inception for use in market leading innovative and ‘green’ automotive applications.
Lead Engineer – Embedded Software Duties
lead a team of embedded software engineers creating embedded software in ‘C’, associated designs, and documentation, in line with product, functional safety, quality targets.
Design and implement software of embedded systems in “C” from initial requirements to commercial deployment.
Design, develop, code, test, integrate and debug system software.
Review code and design.
Analyse and improve efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
Integrate and validate new product designs.
The Successful Lead Engineer – Embedded Software Will Have
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is essential Proven working experience in embedded software engineering C / C++ / C# within an automotive, aerospace or defence manufacturing background.
Experience of working with ARM based microprocessors.
Experience in writing, developing and validation of engineering specifications.
Knowledge of functional safety requirements and a strong understanding of the challenges of designing to Functional Safety standards ISO26262 or IEC61508.
Experience of testing and debugging software using logic analysers and oscilloscopes etc
