CK Group are working in partnership with a leading UK life sciences biotechnology company to recruit for a Molecular Lab Ops Manager with strong leadership skills coupled with a background in PCR/qPCR and cell culture, to join them at their site based in London on a permanent basis.
The Company:
Based in London this and an exciting opportunity to join a virology research company.
The Role and responsibilities:
– Managing the technical and operational aspects of the molecular functions (i.e. supporting the delivery of clinical studies and direct lab services).
– Providing expertise for the development of molecular assays and services.
– Supervision of the laboratory team (training, planning sample workflow through the lab, ordering and management of stocks and reagents)
– Management of the PCR instruments and systems including maintaining their GxP validated status
– This role shares responsibilities for providing management support and guidance to the rest of the department (risk management, health and safety oversight, COSHH, change control and issue reporting / escalation)
Your Background:
– Degree qualified (BSc/MSc) in relevant scientific subject with industry experience or PhD qualified plus industry experience.
– Previous experience of working within a Cell Culture Laboratory environment
– Working knowledge in GLP, GCP, and GMP.
– Ability to lead a team in the planning and execution of laboratory work.
