Internal Communications is where we help every colleague understand what our Purpose means in action, from the way we empower customers with their money to what it means to be part of Virgin Money. And as we become a more digital bank, we want to dial up our digital content for colleagues.  

Your role as an Internal Communications Manager will give you the opportunity to help tell those stories with writing, video, audio, and infographic formats, as well as driving forward development of the channels we use to share that content. You’ll need to love Adobe Creative Cloud suite and be on-the-ball with new content trends, and creative in how we can share them to grab attention and bring colleagues on the journey with us. 

It’s a busy team with new challenges every day, and plenty of opportunities to drive our strategic narrative forward.  
 
Day to day you’ll… 

  • Develop digital content directly and with external agencies to create inspiring, innovative and compelling stories that engage our audience 
  • Manage our SharePoint-based news channel, VMx, and our email platform, Poppulo to deliver and improve on the exceptional digital content experiences we offer 
  • Gather content/channel performance metrics and provide analysis for the Content & Channels Lead and Corporate Communications Leadership Team to shape content decisions 
  • Work with the Internal Communications team and a range of stakeholders at all levels of the business to deliver content campaigns that bring our Purpose and strategy to life 

To be brilliant you must have… 

  • Great storytelling skills you can apply across multiple digital formats, including written, visual, video and audio 
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects, to produce media content to a high standard 
  • Significant experience creating content for stakeholders of all levels in a highly-demanding and high-pace business, ideally in an Internal Communications role 

The icing on the cake would be 

  • Experience working in a PLC environment and in financial services 
  • Experience working with SharePoint or Poppulo’s Content Management System, or an equivalent 
  • A brilliant portfolio of digital content across multiple mediums to show your skills in action
