Overview
We currently have an excellent interim opportunity for an immediately available Management Accountant to join our growing Devon based client. The role can be offered remotely with occasional travel to the offices. Duties and responsibilities include:
* Prepare, analyse and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis.
* Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary.
* Assist in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 implementation.
* Analyse cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories.
* Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.
* Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by division.
* Review and analyse inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
* Identify cost reduction and profit improvement opportunities.
* Cost, volume, price decisions.
* Provide costing data for the strategic and annual budgeting process.
* Variance analysis.
The successful candidate will be:
* CIMA/ACCA PQ or qualified
* Experience with costing proven in previous roles
* Manufacturing experience essential.
