What you will be doing

  • Progress incidents, service and change requests in an efficient and effective manner ensuring appropriate progress and communications at all time inline with ITIL best practises
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers in the supply and support of technical services
  • Undertake effective problem management, investigating repeat incidents and ensuring root cause is addressed
  • Maintain hardware & software license databases, ensuring appropriate level of licensing is in place
  • Install, configure, support, maintain and enhance the network, server (physical and virtual), and data storage infrastructure
  • Manage Azure and AWS tenancies
  • Manage and maintain technical security safeguards on the infrastructure
  • Build and install servers and operating systems to appropriate technical standards
  • Proactively monitor and maintain servers, including performance monitoring and upgrades
  • Work as part of project team delivering large scale infrastructure changes
  • Maintain documentation of the technical infrastructure, and contribute to department knowledge base
  • Define and manage appropriate backup solutions.
  • Implement and release new or upgraded software and services across the technical estate
  • Research and understand new technologies which may contribute to improved, and cost effective service provision
  • Travel to remote sites as required undertaking systems maintenance and upgrades
  • Champion the long-term benefits of strategic change that supports improved flexibility, scalability, simplicity, and speed of change
  • Use knowledge and experience to influence and shape the technology end-to-end solution and design
  • What we want from you

    We are looking for an experience Infrastructure Engineer who is passionate about technology with a strong focus on customer needs. A combination of the following technical skills is required:

  • Windows Server
  • Active Directory
  • MS Exchange
  • VMware ESX/Vsphere
  • LAN/WAN
  • Load Balancing
  • Security (anti-virus, firewalls, access control, etc.)
  • PowerShell scripting and Automation
  • Experienced at troubleshooting 3rd line technical issues
  • ITIL Foundation
  • CCNA or relevant experience of networks preferred (desirable)
  • MCSE preferred (desirable)
  • Office365 (desirable)
  • Azure (desirable)
  • SAN storage (NetApp) (desirable)
  • IP Telephony and contact centre services (desirable)
