Overview

Grafton Professional services are working with an established shipping and logistics company in the appointment of a permanent Import/Customs Agent.
Working within a busy team, the successful candidate will be responsible for predominantly import, creating custom clearance and planning covering busy unique shipping lanes.
A multifunctional role, with custom clearance knowledge, customer service and attention to detail key when servicing customers, liaising with suppliers/hauliers and accurately using a tailored SAP system.

Working within a longstanding team, servicing customers covering various busy shipping lanesCreating customer files using information from SAPCustoms clearance using Descartes/ChiefUtilising a SAP IT system for bookings/quotationsArranging delivery of cargo through third party hauliersArranging collection of cargo from terminal/warehousePassing supplier invoicesObtaining rates from suppliers to create quotationsProducing discharge lists for terminals Import/Customs Agent Applicant requirements
