One of the country’s most prestigious Independent Boarding and Day Preparatory Schools for Boys is looking for a housekeeping assistant to come and join their team ASAP.
They are a flourishing school with around 250 boys from 7 to 13 years old, with all boys boarding in the final two years.
They deliver a first class education, sporting provision and a rich variety of music, drama, arts and extracurricular opportunities in a friendly and supportive working environment.
The school consists of the main school building classrooms and offices, music block, academic block, kitchens, sports centre and performing arts centre and on site staff accommodation flats and houses.
The Housekeeping staffensure that the premises are clean and tidy and presented to a high standard for all visitors, pupils and staff.
They are required to work as directed by the Housekeeper and to a termly rota.

To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments.
To replenish consumable items soap, toilet rolls, paper towels as required.
To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths and showers.
To use chemical agents as directed by the Housekeeper when cleaning after receiving proper instructions andtraining.
To undertake wall washing or inside window pane cleaning to a height no greater thanbody height plus an arm’s extension from floor level, during periodic deep cleaning cleans.
To clean work surface areas and operate dishwashers.
Provide service for school events and functions
set up, service and clean down.
Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met in area of responsibility.

Having common sense and a good work ethic are more important than formal education for this role.
