Job Title
Health & Safety ManagerThe Health and Safety Manager is responsible for health and safety within Engineering Services ensuring that the company fully discharges its legal duties through the implementation of the company health and safety strategy.
As part of the Health and Safety Department you will be accountable and report to the Divisional Health and Safety Manager and will be responsible for influencing ISG project teams, the supply chain and other key stakeholders to deliver the highest standards of health and safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
Advise, guide and coach ISG personnel with the implementation of the company Health & Safety Policy & Management System Undertake active monitoring across the business / projects to measure performance against ISG expectations and industry best practice.
Act as a source of competent health and safety advice within the company and across allocated projects, providing advice and assistance to the Directors, project teams and managers on health and safety matters.
Support the development and implementation of companywide initiatives and campaigns.
Measure H&S performance at business / division / cluster / project level by collating and reporting performance data, including trend analysis.
Liaise with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties.
Advise project teams on the implications of current and emerging health and safety legislation and best practice, including evaluating options, making recommendations and generating action plans to ensure compliance at a project / cluster level Work with operational project teams to ensure health and safety is a primary consideration at all stages of the project lifecycle Investigate incidents and produce detailed factual reports identifying root causes and recommendations for improvement, ensuring lessons learned are communicated effectively across organisation Support the drive for continual improvement in the health and safety culture across the organisation and amongst our key supply chain.
Raise the profile and improve management / controls of the health aspect of health and safety.
Lead by setting a personal example and actively promote at all levels the company’s commitment to effective Health and Safety.
About you
