CK Group are recruiting for a Electrophysiologist to join an established Contract Research Organisation at their site based in Glasgow on a permanent basis.

This Electrophysiologist role is located on the outskirts of Glasgow.

Electrophysiologist Role:
Your main duties will be:
-Use of state-of-the-art automated electrophysiology to support assay development and lead discovery for client projects.
-Responsibility for developing and performing cell-based ion channel assays to enhance the company’s assay capabilities.
-Supporting routine laboratory operations.
-Presenting oral and written reports to internal and external clients.

Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have/be:
-Educated to PhD level with post-doctoral research experience in either academia or industry.
-Several years experience of ion channel research, preferably using recombinant cell lines as well as experience of Electrophysiological techniques.
-An understanding of mammalian cell biology, plate-based assays, liquid handling automation and pharmacological analysis would be an advantage.
-Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to independently complete complex tasks while working as part of a team as well as problem solving skills and the ability to analyse and interpret results.
