The minimum experience, training or qualifications for this position is previous experience supporting young people.
The RoleWe are currently recruiting for an Education Support Worker to provide additional support interventions to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in a Further Education environment.
This is a longterm supply position, to start as soon as possible, that could potentially become permanent for the right candidate.
Support will be based in small groups or on a 1
1 basis.
The position would include liaising collaboratively with colleagues and outside agencies to ensure the correct support is in place for identified learners.
Caseload working is essential to this position, as is the ability to maintain student records.
RequirementsTo be considered for the Education Support Worker position you will
Have significant experience working with people with learning difficulties, behavioural difficulties or disabilitiesRecent experience in an educational settingMaths and English GCSE or equivalent at Grade C or aboveThe willingness to undertake any relevant trainingA genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Support WorkersVision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
