ROLE TITLE: Early Careers Manager

ROLE LOCATION: Role Location Flexible

ROLE TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: It is anticipated that there will be regular travel with the role.

ROLE STRUCTURE: Forming part of the Group Learning and Development team, the role will report to the Head of L&D. The role has no direct reports.

ROLE PURPOSE: To develop and implement our Early Careers strategy, ensuring Kepak is well placed to attract & develop early careers talent through talent acquisition and development frameworks across our whole business in operational, commercial and specialist roles.

HYBRID MODEL:  This role will be remote with the intention to travel to sites and external stakeholders on a regular basis.

SALARY DOE: £50,000

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility  – Lead our Graduate Program across the group (Recruitment, Selection, Development) – To develop and manage early careers recruitment and development budget – Co-ordinate internal early careers programs – Develop suite of simple metrics to demonstrate ROI for Early Careers talent – Manage allocation of Apprenticeship Levy – Maximise funding opportunities for early careers

Ambition

Develop and Implement Apprenticeship Academy for Managerial and Commercial Roles – Develop and evolve internal career paths with the learning and Recognition Frameworks to support success (Eg Apprenticeships, Traineeships)

Passion for Food

Develop a Butchery Academy on key sites

– Establish and build partnerships with key external stakeholders to strengthen our position within the food industry and as an employer of choice within Meat and our local communities in which we operate

– Develop relationships with key educational bodies to ensure funding, training and engagement opportunities are realised – Ensure our online presence for early careers is reflective of our culture and opportunities within the business

Teamwork

Consult with Site Management & HR Teams to establish where skills gaps and talent shortages exist and provide solution to address short, medium and long term talent pipeline

– Work with site Training Leads & Recruiters to attract talent to our business – Develop external network to ensure Kepak is seen as employer of choice for early careers talent

– Communicate success stories internally and externally to enhance our employer brand

ROLE QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

– Experience recruiting early careers talent – Understanding of apprenticeships/ traineeships and the relevant funding available across our territories – Assessment Centers – Design and Development of internal upskilling/development programmes
