Up to £40k basic depending on experienceWe are a successful Waste Management company based in SouthEast London and currently seeking to employ a Dustcart Driver on a permanent basis.
The Dustcart Driver role requires an individual with experience of driving Dustcarts to carry out our collections throughout South London.
The right Dustcart Driver candidate will be required to drive a vehicle in a safe and courteous manner across South London to collect wheelie bins and bales from various business addresses.
The driver will be supported by a loader.
You must be familiar with Inspecting and maintaining vehicles supplies and equipment such as water, oils, fuel, tyres, brakes, lights etc to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
Full compliance regarding Safe loading and unloading of vehicle and the ability to obey all road traffic signs and road transport legislation are expected.
The Driver is also tasked with ensuring the vehicle is maintained inside and out and kept in a good, clean condition as well as the completion of all paperwork in a legible manner whilst reporting all damage to the vehicle, any accidents, mechanical problems and stops by police and VOSA throughout the working day.
To be considered for the role, you MUST hold a current HGV license, minimum group C, with no more than 6 penalty points or a disqualification in previous 10 years along with a current Driver Certificate of Competence card.
You must be willing to undergo further training as and when required.
Team work, initiative, and customer service skills, being able to listen and react to what has been said and most importantly to be able to communicate in both written and verbal forms is paramount to this position.
Starting salary is up to £40k+ which is negotiable dependant on experience.
Overtime and Bonus scheme are available.
