Job Role: Design Engineer
Salary: up to 28k (negotiable)
Hours: 8 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday 4 pm
Location: Bradford
We are in the market for an experience Design Engineer to join a company who are specialising in signage industry.
Purpose:
Multi-Skilled Design Engineer
This role is for an operative to be based within the drawing office, primarily using SolidWorks, to produce highly detailed manufacturing drawings for the shop floor and also creating transmissions for the Laser & Router Machines.
Other Software used: Signlab, Autocad, Adobe Suite, Trumpf tru tops.
Scope of Responsibility:
This is a design orientated role and the applicant must be a team player with good attention to detail and willing to guide and manage projects through the factory. The applicant must have an open mind to develop new skills and eager to assist the department in any way to be as efficient and thorough as can be.
Key points:
The applicant must ideally have a history of working in signage or a similar line of work.
All jobs will be checked by the Design Manager before being passed on to the relevant project manager or departments.
Long term goal in the drawing office:
– Manufacturing Drawings
– Transmissions / Programming
– Previous SolidWorks (or potentially Inventor) experience is essential, and most desirable either the Sign Industry or in other sheet metal and/or steel construction industries. In house training will be available through the Design manager and/or by a skilled operative for secondary software such as Signlab.
– This will aid both the operative and design manager in monitoring the candidate’s progression.
– The role to be reviewed initially on a quarterly basis.
