UK based with European travelYou’ll be joining our Engineering Services department, which delivers our most technically complex projects.
ISG as a whole turned over approximately £2.
5bn in construction projects in 2019 of which close to £750m was delivered by the Engineering Services business
the largest contributing sector of the business.
  We are specifically targeting growth in the Data Centre sector to give you the opportunity to work in a fast paced, growing industry on exciting projects right across the UK and Europe.
Main purpose of the role
To deliver a quality service and product to our clients in line with the project and corporate goals by working with the professional and delivery teams to ensure that ISG systems, procedures and culture are adhered to.
Safety, Quality and Schedule are the key focus for all ISG Management and the Candidate will be expected to demonstrate how they actively approach these, and how they ensure that the Culture is established to endorse these within the Team.
The Role is a Senior Management Position, and the successful candidate will be expected to prepare and present reports, chair meetings with Contractors, Vendors and Clients, and to manage the commissioning delivery team.
Within ISG the commissioning process has been defined to either selfdeliver or be outsourced and in both cases ISG expects the commissioning manager to take the lead in development and implementation of the Commissioning Process & Procedures and the Closeout of the Project.
The current role is based in the UK in our London head office.
However, the successful candidate must be prepared to travel extensively and potentially be based overseas with either a 5/2 or 10/4 rotation back to the UK or home country if not UK during the commissioning phase of the project.
What will be I be involved in?Take full responsibility for the MEP commissioning delivery associated with the design & construction of hyperscale Data Centers and Mission Critical Infrastructure Projects in the UK and Europe.
When required engage with the ISG winning work team and advise on the commissioning elements within the tender process.
To take the lead on project commission ability and design reviews.
To develop and manage the project commissioning execution plan from preconstruction to handover.
To fully engage with the project MEP team, support, offer solutions and identify problems early.
To train the MEP team & subcontractors / vendors the commissioning process, their roles and responsibilities and deliverables.
To manage the commissioning documentation through all levels, implement the project commissioning software platform prerequisites by liaising with the ISG BIM Manager.
Review and produce commissioning test scripts are required dependant on commissioning delivery strategy.
Aid the development or develop the project commissioning programme and assist with the integration with construction activities.
To chair and minute all commissioning related meetings & workshops.
Attend project and client meetings, producing precise and succinct project reports as required.
Report progress to the Project Director, Heads of Engineering and Commissioning on a weekly basis.
Maintain an accurate progress reporting dashboard, outlining key risk, critical paths, and progress of plan v’s actual.
Maintain a good working relationship with client and their appoint designers, consultants, and commissioning agentsQualifications
Recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringQualified to degree level desirable but not essential as Industry experience will be considered.
Recognised qualification in managing Health & Safety in line with the role.
Knowledge/Experience
Commissioning management experience at project or specific discipline within the Critical Infrastructure and Data Center sector.
Accomplished record of successfully delivering projects.
Understanding of LOTO and all safety systems associated with Electrical & Mechanical Plant operations.
In depth understanding of producing and managing to project schedules.
In depth understanding of the construction and commissioning phases their QAQC and commissioning deliverables.
Experience of Data Centre client’s business requirements and drivers.
Experienced in executing Quality Management processes.
Knowledgeable in prefabrication and the QA/QC / Cx process to be managed.
Knowledge and experience in the use and application of BIM360 Build or alternative.
