The CAD Operator will support the Engineering Design department. They will be project managing developments and being actively involved in the drawing and design.

Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Operator to join a fast paced global design and manufacturer.

The CAD Operator will work with colleagues to create project plans for product development & work undertaken; and manage your own projects within the development timescales.

You will use AutoCAD and SolidWorks software to design new product specifications and modify existing where required; Create technical drawings for prototypes then into Production parts; Work closely with the engineering team to develop and improve prototype & production products; Create part listing on ERP system; Modify & update Technical files in line with current regulations; Prototype stage dynamic testing of products to required standards; Generate User manuals or Instruction sheets for customers to correctly use our products; Create artwork for branding on the products; and Liaise with suppliers to achieve the desired quality and repeatable components.

Profile

You will have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Science, etc) with minimum 2 years experience within a design and manufacturing business.

You will be proficient SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D and 3D.

You will be familiar with the full product life-cycle and working at all stages of this.
