NHS England and NHS Improvement is looking for an enthusiastic Business Support Officer to join the national Performance Team.

The role

As a Business Support Officer, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Performance Team in the Chief Operating Officer’s directorate of NHS England and NHS Improvement.

In particular the post holder will:

  • Provide high quality business support to the Performance Team and portfolio areas.
  • Support the team to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively.
  • Organise meetings and events (including those with local sites and other external stakeholders), ensuring attendees receive accurate and timely information about arrangements and that agendas are circulated in advance.
  • Provide a high-level, professional and confidential service to the Director of Performance and Heads of Performance, covering all aspects of secretarial, administrative and organisational support.
  • Support and inform the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties to support the work of the team.

The post holder will be a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.
