About this job

An opportunity has arisen to work within the Council’s Regulatory service as Business Support Officer. You will be responsible for providing administrative support for various areas within regulatory services including Private Rented Property Licensing, Environmental Enforcement, Planning Enforcement, Food Health and Safety. This role involves processing applications, logging of cases, issuing of licences, arranging of visits, taking payments, reconciliations. In addition to this, you will be the point of contact for applicants, residents etc.

About you

We are looking for someone who can prioritise and manage their workload, working to stringent deadlines. You will have effective communication and negotiating skills in providing a customer focused service to businesses, residents, landlords and members of public in a professional manner as well as providing advice and assistance.

Experience of using a range of IT packages including Microsoft office, the use of databases and data inputting is essential. We are looking for behaviours such as delivering your best every time and do what is promised, respond in prompt, positive way to our community needs and engage with others to improve our resilience and flexibility.
