The Department

Library Services is at the heart of the student and academic experience at the University of West London, facilitating creation of knowledge and ideas and developing confident, critically information-literate professionals. We place particular value on supporting our institutional mission of extending higher education to those traditionally excluded from it, and in facilitating research and scholarship in ways that connect with equity and widening participation.

The Role

The post-holder is responsible for the provision of efficient and effective acquisitions and collection management processes for print and electronic resources. They deliver high standard cataloguing, classification and metadata services. The post holder contributes to the delivery of consistent, reliable and effective access to electronic resources.

The Person

Applicants will be highly computer literate with previous library or publishing experience in acquisitions or subscriptions. They will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision. They will have excellent communication skills. An ability to maintain high quality and accurate financial and catalogue records and work to tight deadlines is essential.
