Architectural Technologist – £30,000 – £40,000 per annum depending on experience/portfolio – Ludham, Norfolk – Full Time, Permanent

WT Design are architectural design and master planning specialists based in Ludham, Norfolk. We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technician with at least a few years’ experience to join our talented team!

The Role – Architectural Technologist:

With project values ranging from 100k to 10million, this role requires experience working on residential projects ranging from a single dwelling to 300+ units from planning to technical. Duties will include:

• Playing a key role in the development of all design proposals for RIBA stage 0-7 and being involved in project development from concept to completion
• Working on technical drawings, conceptual design, planning permission, master planning, CGI brochure curation, technical design and project management
• Liaising with clients and the team whilst representing the practice
• Preparing designs using CAD (computer aided design) software and traditional drawing methods
• Monitoring the health and safety of designs and undertaking risk assessments
• Preparing applications for approval by regulatory bodies

Person specification – Architectural Technologist:

• You’ll ideally be CIAT registered however this is not essential as we’ll also consider candidates with good previous experience (minimum a few years’ experience as an Architectural Technician)  
• Experience running your own projects and ability to juggle a number of projects and client expectations at once
• A self-motivated individual able to manage own projects as well as working well in a team
• The ability and experience to run projects onsite
• Sound knowledge of UK building regulations
• An understanding of the relevant planning policies and procedures for planning applications
• A working knowledge of Sketch-up, InDesign and solid background in AutoCAD and ideally Photoshop
