1st Line Support Engineer
Location: Rochester
Salary: Circa £25k DOE
My Client is a long established Managed Services Provider based in Medway. They are now looking for experienced 1st and 2nd line Support Engineers to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established IT solutions business, who focus on the end-to-end service they deliver to their clients, giving you exposure to the latest technologies and a huge breadth of companies to become involved with and support.
We believe that the 1st Line Support is one of the most crucial roles within to get right within a support team and sets the tone for a 1st class service for the client. The 1st Line Support engineer will be the first point of contact for customers and so is a vital element in ensuring that requests are handled efficiently and professionally. The role of the 1st Line Support Engineer is varied, and no day is ever the same! The ability to multi task and prioritise work load is a key attribute, as well as patience, adaptability and excellent communication skills.
Ideal candidates will have experience with Active Directory, Office 365 and have 1 year’s helpdesk experience. You will be exposed to the latest technology in the market, as well as being constantly enrolled in the company’s training programme to develop your technical skillset.

Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

- Logical and analytical approach to fault finding
- High levels of attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Strong customer satisfaction focus
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to understand and document processes
- Responsibilities may require occasional evening or weekend work
- Develop a good understanding of our industry and our systems
- Ideally you will have some experience in any of these areas:
- Working with Windows Environment, Microsoft Office, Excel, SQL, Powershell, Hardware Configuration, Ticket Resolution, Asset Management, Technical Troubleshooting are all an advantage
- Candidates must pass enhanced DBS check
