WHAT YOU’LL DOThe successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert to the organization providing cross border tax advice on complex matters such a cross border commuters, BCG’s tax and nonequalized programs and guidance on policy matters relating to our transfers.
This role will be focusing on the NAMR region which includes North and Central America.
They will work alongside the Global Mobility Tax Director and with internal stakeholders such as Global Mobility Services, HR and Finance to strategize on the tax aspects of employee value propositions around mobility.
They will also need to guide Managing Directors and Partners, HR Directors and Finance Directors within the business around employment taxes, personal tax, social security and permanent establishment risk triggered by BCG’s mobile workforce across the globe.
Collaboration with our broader tax team is essential and the candidate will need to demonstrate proficient knowledge in topics covering both corporate and individual tax aspects such as Permanent Establishment risk, Transfer Pricing and the impact of individual taxes in the context of business travel and remote work abroad.
They will also be part of a crossfunctional due diligence team to set up new offices when entering into new markets across the region.
The role also entails leading an annual US compliance program for our Managing Directors and Partners as well as providing bespoke US withholding tax and social security calculations for a smaller group of our most senior executives who have crossborder tax responsibilities.
They will also need to have experience in providing personal tax advice to senior executives ideally in taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
The individual must be familiar with handling and advising on governance issues and ideally handling and advising on governance issues.
They should be able to take the lead on strategic and complex projects relating to tax including compliance related matters.
They must be able to exercise sound and commercial judgement and have a good knowledge of industry trends on matters relating to cross border taxes.
The function requires the individual to be able to work in a fast paced and pressured environment whilst having a sound understanding of broader global business strategies.
They must be comfortable with making sound and workable decisions around company risk and help manage BCG’s tax environment in a sensitive and mindful way.
The role requires experience in the background of business traveler and remote working compliance and including digitalization of the compliance workstreams.
There will also be aspects of managing a global relationship with global vendors in the tax space.
The individual will be responsible for having managed junior staff in previous roles and will also support the Global Mobility Tax Director with general team management and people strategies.
This will include team appraisals and capacity planning for the function and day to day management of operational and technical matters.

Also ideally have US Enrolled Agent qualification.
Analytical and tax technical skills in area of mobility including solid foundation of cross border issues with experience in US individual and/or corporate tax mattersPrior experience of working with senior level stakeholders in finance, payroll and HR YOU’LL WORK WITHGlobal Tax is part of the wider Finance function.
This role reports to the Global Mobility Tax Director who is based in London and sits as part of Global Tax Group +20 people are based across multiple jurisdictions.
Key stakeholders will be Global Mobility Services who handle the operations and advisory side of Mobility, the Global Tax Senior Director, Program Directors and Senior Directors of PSG, HR and Heads of Finance.
