About the role
SYNLAB UK and Ireland are the largest clinical diagnostics provider in Europe and have a 12 months salaried fixed term contract.
The position is remote with occasional visits to other business sites.
This is a handson, delivery focussed role with responsibility for ensuring the technical specification within the system meets all of SYNLAB’s requirements.
The post holder will oversee data migration, lead rigorous User Acceptance Testing and ensure parallel runs are successfully completed and new end to end payroll processes are defined, implemented and rolled out along with appropriate training for system users, line managers and end users to project timelines.
Reporting the HR Business Partner, the post holder will work closely with our supplier, internal HR teams, other key stake holders and be supported by a Project Manager and HR & Payroll Data Associate.
Essential Skills & Experience
Highly experienced Payroll Manager, underpinned by appropriate payroll qualification and/or CIPP membership and experience of working at a senior level in a payroll team in a large organisationThorough knowledge of all payroll legislation and its application, including tax, National Insurance, Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, and Pension Schemes including auto enrolment, together with relevant terms and conditions of employmentKnowledge of the technical payroll requirements of the NHS/Agenda for Change terms and conditions and the NHS Pension schemeStrong understanding of varying complex payroll cycles and rulesAbility to research, analyse and interpret complex policy and documentsProven ability to support the process design for payroll processes with new HR & Payroll solutionsExperience of managing projects, such as systems implementation and upgrades to payroll softwareExperience of managing and implementing change to improve service effectiveness and efficiencyProven ability to work to timescales and project deadlinesHow to apply
