Overview
This organisation is an independent, not-for-profit company, wholly owned by the UK Government. The company has two regulatory roles that are central to the delivery of the government’s objective of ‘ensuring that the country has secure energy supplies that are reliable, affordable and clean’.
The role supports the company’s Settlements Workstream relating to the new schemes, such as Power Carbon Capture Usage and Storage (PCCUS) schemes implementation programme and Industrial Carbon Capture (ICC).
The role requires the creation of technical documentation that will provide business processes, settlement calculation mechanics, data catalogues and data interface requirements.
The documents created will be in support of the IT system requirements specification (functional and non-functional) and the associated target operating model (TOM) for new schemes as required).
Key responsibilities for the role are:
Requirements gathering using documentation, organising and facilitation of workshops and/or
interviews with stakeholders to deliver:
Business Processes required for new schemes as required
Documenting the calculation and payment mechanics of the new schemes as required
Support data analysis activities
Acting as an interface between Settlements and other workstreams in the delivery of the
programme (Scheme Management, Forecasting, Finance teams, etc.)
Key skills / experience required:
Business process mapping/modelling and development of data models and documentation
Full project lifecycle implementations (Requirements gathering to UAT)
Strong analytical capability (both qualitative and quantitative)
Able to understand complex concepts and formula, capture key information, when required
Good stakeholder and relationship management skills
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
Able to work independently with a proactive approach to work
