Birds Eye UK and Ireland accounts for c.£700m RSV, serving shoppers and consumers through all major Grocery Retailers and multiple channels including eCommerce, Discounters, Wholesale and Foodservice.

Reporting to the Head of Logistics, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day cost and service of relevant Logistics providers and Co Packers in the UK and Ireland. You’ll ensure that budgets are controlled with any deviations forecasted accurately and explained. You’ll also support with the safety agenda at factory locations, conducting regular reviews to ensure performance is visible as well as driving improvement plans.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage day to day KPI’s for the Logistics providers to deliver supply chain service metrics
• Support implementation of Supply chain cost to serve strategy, supporting projects taking over once handed in BAU
• Lead formal regular performance reviews with the Logistics providers and drive actions to ensure continuous improvement in cost and service with the 3PLs.
• Overall stock accuracy and reconciliation accountability within operations ensuring SOX compliance
• Deal with escalations from customers/customer service for Logistics issues
• Manage relationships with factory teams and conduct regular reviews with the factory on Logistics performance

Note: Frequent travel is required to all UK offices and to visit logistics and co-pack suppliers

About You

To be considered for the role, you will have to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience in Logistics Management, supply chain warehouse and Transport
• Experience of Manging 3PL’s and a commercial understanding of supply chain

• Understands key performance metrics to drive service within Logistics operations
• Strong health and safety skills
• Challenges own and others’ thinking to identify and get to the heart of problems, delivering sound solutions.
• Influences stakeholders through effective communication of proposals and clear understanding of stakeholder needs.
